OnAir is thrilled to launch “Operation Arctic Revitalization,” a Christmas challenge that invites experienced pilots to embark on a mission to save Santa Claus through the Nordic countries, passing over hand-crafted airports from Microsoft Flight Simulator World Updates 15!
The Challenge:
Santa Claus and his reindeer have been bedridden for a few weeks before Christmas. In a race against time, the elves discover a magical solution near Hvítserkur Rock—a lake filled with enchanted water. The Gnomes successfully extract the magical water, storing it in vials at Ísafjörður Airport (BIIS) with a stabilizer device.
Now, the call goes out to experienced pilots to transport these vials to Ivalo Airport (EFIV), where Santa’s Healing House is located. The challenge involves six flights, landing at specified airports, while ensuring the delicate vials remain intact.
Objectives and Rules:
The main mission is to transport vials from Ísafjörður (BIIS) to Ivalo (EFIV) in six flights, navigating through specific airports. The vials are secured in a special stabilizer device (SSD), requiring refueling with a special material called Dilithium. Pilots must adhere to altitude and route corridor limits to prevent damage to the vials, ensuring a safe Christmas delivery.
Secondary missions, involving delivering Dilithium units, allow participants to contribute to the cause without undertaking the full challenge. Dilithium can be stored in special Cooling Hangars at various airports along the route.
Rewards:
Participants have the chance to win exciting rewards, including OnAir subscriptions, SimMarket vouchers, PMDG B737 and DC6, Fenix A320. The live leaderboard will track participants’ progress in the main mission, with top performers receiving exclusive prizes.
